Leticia Dolera

Leticia Dolera on espanjalainen näyttelijä. Dolera on ollut aktiivinen 2000-luvun alusta, mutta kansainvälisiä rooleja Doleralla ei juurikaan ole. Dolera on esiintynyt pääasiassa espanjalaisissa draamoissa ja espanjalaisissa televisiotuotannoissa. Muutamia piipahduksia Doleralla on myös kauhu- ja jännityselokuvien puolelle: herkullinen päärooli Paco Plazan kauhuelokuvassa [REC]3 Genesis (2012), sivuuosa Paco Plazan kauhumysteerissä Verónica (2017) ja sivuosa Pastorin veljesten tieteiskauhuelokuvassa Los últimos días (The Last Days, 2013).

Leticia Dolera is a Spanish actress. She has been active in the new millennium but she hasn’t had many roles in films with international distribution. Dolera is mainly active in Spanish drama films and Spanish television productions. However, she has made some forays into the horror genre: a delicious leading role in Paco Plaza’s zombie-horror film [REC]3 Genesis (2012), a solid supporting role in Paco Plaza’s horror mystery film Verónica (2017) and a supporting role in Pastor Brother’s science fiction horror film Los últimos días (The Last Days, 2013).

Ana Torrent

Ana Torrent on espanjalainen näyttelijä. Torrentin ura elokuvien parissa on alkanut jo 1960-luvulla, mutta toden teolla ura lähti nousuun 1980-luvulla. Espanjalaisten draamaelokuvien parissa Torrent on pääasiassa touhunnut, mutta mukaan on mahtunut myös tämän blogin kannalta mielenkiintoisia tapauksia. Näistä tärkeimpänä on huikea päärooli Alejandro Amenábarin mestarillisissa kauhuelokuvassa Tesis (1996). Torrent tekee edelleen (2024 tätä kirjoitettaessa) aktiivisesti elokuvarooleja ja pääosin espanjalaisia draamatuotantoja espanjankielisille markkinoille, mutta mukaan on mahtunut piipahdus myös kauhuelokuvan puolelle Paco Plazan pätevässä kauhumysteerissä Verónica (2017).

Ana Torrent is a Spanish actress. Her career amidst movies begun in the early 1960’s but her career took off in the 1980’s with a myriad of roles in Spanish dramas and comedies. Torrent has been involved in drama films mostly but there is an important exception that aligns with the interests and themes of this blog: Alejandro Amenábar’s masterful horror movie Tesis (1996). Torrent is still (it is 2024 at the time of this writing) very much active in the industry and still focusing on Spanish drama film productions targeted to areas with a strong Spanish-speaking audience but she has made a relatively recent appearance in the horror genre in Paco Plaza’s solid horror mystery film Verónica (2017).

Mateo Gil

Mateo Gil on espanjalainen ohjaaja, käsikirjoittaja, kuvaaja, leikkaaja ja tuottaja. Hän on työskennellyt tiiviissä yhteistyössä toisen espanjalaisen ohjaajan, Alejandro Amenábarin, kanssa käsikirjoittaen tämän kanssa melkein kaikkia tuotantoja. Ohjaajana Mateo Gilin esikoisohjaus oli vuoden 1999 trilleri Nadie conoce a nadie [Nobody Knows Anybody], mutta sittemmin Gil on etupäässä toiminut käsikirjoittajana. Hänen kynänjäljistään kauhu-, ja tieteiselokuvan rintamilla olemmekin saaneet nautiskella muun muassa erinomaisissa elokuvissa Tesis (Alejandro Amenábar, 1996), Abre los ojos [Open Your Eyes] (Alejandro Amenábarin, 1997) ja sen jenkkiversio Vanilla Sky (Cameron Crowe, 2001), El método [The Method] (Marcelo Piñeyro, 2005), Regreso a Moira [Spectre] (Mateo Gil, 2006) ja Realive (Mateo Gil, 2016).

Mateo Gil is a Spanish director, screenwriter, cinematographer, editor and producer. Throughout his career he has been working closely with fellow Spanish director Alejandro Amenábar. As a director his debut film was the 1999 thriller Nadie conoce a nadie [Nobody Knows Anybody] but since then he has been known foremost by his screenwriting. With the horror, thriller and science fiction films we have been treated with such films as Tesis (Alejandro Amenábar, 1996), Abre los ojos [Open Your Eyes] (Alejandro Amenábarin, 1997) and it’s U.S. version Vanilla Sky (Cameron Crowe, 2001), El método [The Method] (Marcelo Piñeyro, 2005), Regreso a Moira [Spectre] (Mateo Gil, 2006) and Realive (Mateo Gil, 2016).
