Shauna Macdonald on skotlantilainen näyttelijä. Macdonaldin ensiesiintyminen elokuvassa oli sivurooli Anthony Neilsonin rikostrillerissä The Debt Collector (1999). Kauhun lajityypissä Macdonald nostatti itsensä hetkessä koko lajityypin tietoisuuteen pääroolissa Neil Marshallin hurmeisen hektisessä selviytymistarinassa The Descent (2005). Tieteis-, toiminta-, kauhuelokuvien rooleja tuli sen seurauksena enemmänkin, muun muassa Simon Hunterin sekainen sotku Mutant Chronicles (2008), Jon Harrisin ohjaama jatko-osa The Descent: Part 2 (2009), Rupert Bryanin kökkö The Hike (2011), Paul Hyattin fantasiakauhu Howl (2015), Dennis Bartokin kauhumysteeri Nails (2017) ja Paul Raschidin tieteiskauhu White Chamber (2018). Macdonald on sittemmin ollut tekemisissä televisiotuotantojen kanssa, mutta toivomme kovasti, että näemme hänet vielä pääroolissa kunnon kauhuelokuvassa!

Shauna Macdonald is aScottish actress. Her first role in film was a minor role in Anthony Neilson’s crime thriller The Debt Collector (1999). In 2005 she instantly emerged as one of the modern Scream Queens in a leading in Neil Marshall’s modern horror classic The Descent (2005). After that she has gathered leading and supporting roles in science fiction, action and horror genres in films such as Simon Hunter’s mess of a film Mutant Chronicles (2008), Jon Harris’ The Descent sequel The Descent: Part 2 (2008), Rupert Bryan’s inferior rural horror The HIke (2011), Paul Hyatts’ fantasy horror Howl (2015), Dennis Bartok’s horror mystery Nails (2017) and Pauls Raschid’s science fiction horror White Chamber (2018). Recently Macdonald has been seen mainly in television productions but we sure do hope that will see her act in a leading role in a horror film in the future!
