Yoshihiro Nishimura

Yoshihiro Nishimura on japanilainen ohjaaja, tehoste- ja maskeerausvelho ja käsikirjoittajan, jonka tuotanto on lähes poikkeuksetta kauhulajityypin sisällä. Nishimura aloitti elokuvien parissa lukiolaisena itseoppien kuvausta, valaistusta, efektien tekoa ja lavastusta. Vuosien ajan Nishimura teki tehosteita muille ohjaajille (mm. Sion Sono, Noboru Iguchi, Yudai Yamaguchi , Jun’ichi Yamamoto…).

Yoshihiro Nishimura is a Japanese director, screenwriter, special effects and makeup wizard. He started his career at high school learning by himself the arts of lightning, modeling, directing, screenwriting and cinematography. Most of his works are within the horror genre and in the more strictly definable sub-genre of body horror (with a Japanese twist, of course!). For years he made special effects for other directors such as Sion Sono, Noboru Iguchi, Yudai Yamaguchi and Jun’ichi Yamamoto. His directorial debut (apart from his student work) was the gore-drenched body horror spectacle of Tokyo Gore Police (2008). After that he has continued in the same path with such delights as Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl (2009), Mutant Girls Squad (2010), Helldriver (2010) and Meatball Machine Kodoku (2017).
